Go global now — with a distinguished name in independent publishing.

Besides making books less expensive and easier to access for consumers, the digital revolution has enabled publishers to deliver their titles instantaneously to a worldwide audience. Now authors in print who want to benefit from global light-speed distribution can get a customized digital launch with the help of an established independent publisher.

Fearless Digital is an electronic publishing service focused on helping a select group of accomplished and promising authors extend their work into the digital realm with a minimum of effort – and with maximum worldwide distribution. If your project is accepted, your e-book will be prepared and customized for launch by D. Patrick Miller, the founder of Fearless Books (see an interview in the Kirkus Reviews.) After your book is platformed to retail distributors under your own imprint, you will retain all royalties. The distribution network encompasses Amazon Kindle, Smashwords,, Apple iBooks, Kobo, Diesel, Sony, and several others. All major digital formats, including PDF, MOBI (Kindle format), and EPUB are utilized. We also offer assistance with publicity, including press releases via PRWeb, announcements to the Fearless Books mailing list of 1500, and outreach efforts customized to your book's subject and most likely audiences.

We will also consider publishing your book under the Fearless imprint on a royalty-sharing basis (see "Rates" below) , in which case enhanced publicity will be available on the Fearless Books site.

Fearless Digital is seeking properties that are either already in print or ready to be published, but currently have no digital distribution. Full and exclusive electronic rights must be available. We accept only projects that we regard as ready and viable for successful digital distribution. Any genre or subject matter is acceptable, but each project must meet Fearless Books’ editorial standards for literary excellence and marketability, even if published under your imprint. In this way, we can guarantee that your digital book has the best chance of success.

Editorial services are not part of the payment options shown below. Editing services can be separately negotiated if we determine that a project is promising but requires editorial preparation. A digital cover is provided as part of our formatting service, not including costs for original art.

We charge $450-$750 to launch a typical e-book, including formatting of an acceptable book-length manuscript or conversion of an existing print book into all necessary platforms for worldwide digital distribution, and posting to digital wholesalers and retailers. The rate varies according to the particular characteristics of each project, including length of text, condition of the original text, cover design challenges, and so on. A firm quote will be given after a project review. In most cases, you will be published under your own imprint and receive 100% of royalties. If published under the Fearless imprint, net income is shared equally between the author and Fearless Books for the first $500 received from sales. After that point, authors receive 70% of net and Fearless retains 30%.
