NEW FROM FEARLESS ASSISTED PUBLISHING:

A powerful exploration of mortality drawn from the lived experience of an intensive care physician

Blending the stories of patients and families with spiritual insights from A Course in Miracles, this book faces the fears of death and illness while showing how forgiveness transforms grief and anxiety into peace. Death is not the end but an invitation to awakening, a chance to release the illusion of separation and rediscover the permanence of love.

With clarity and compassion, Dr. Rizvi guides readers through the illusions of suffering and fear, offering practical exercises in forgiveness alongside deep metaphysical insight. Written for those facing illness, caregivers, spiritual seekers, and anyone grieving a loved one, it offers not just comfort but a path to inner freedom. Love Does Not Know Death is a roadmap for turning life’s hardest moments into portals of healing, awakening, and love’s enduring truth.

F O R E W O R D

I’ve known Adam Rizvi, as well as his wife, his mom, and his sister, all of them doctors, for a long time. Now that I’ve become what you might call “an older guy,” I can say that I’ve met quite a few doctors. This has been primarily for check-ups, because I’ve been blessed with mostly good health. To oversimplify, during my life I’ve met two basic kinds of physicians. There are those who you can just tell are genuinely kind and interested in their patient’s well-being. That clearly describes Adam and his family. On the other hand, at the risk of sounding what a teacher of mine once described as “judgey,” there are some doctors who look at you and see dollar signs.

Adam is one of those rare healers who not only has the ability and credentials to function brilliantly in the “normal” everyday world of traditional medicine, but also has an advanced grasp of metaphysics. That’s something that is taboo to most doctors, though not necessarily their patients. This allows Adam to have quality communications with all types of patients as well as non-patients. And with both an approach to healing and a personality that are based on love and joining rather than suspicion and separation, he was able to write this book.

There are hundreds of well-known healing modalities. Unfortunately, they are not one size fits all. Different approaches work for different people. But there’s one healing agent that’s universal, and that is love. It’s universal because real love is eternal. Although I’ve lost some of closest people to me in my life, I’ve come to learn that I didn’t really lose them. As terrible as death may seem, in most cases the time comes when the hurt begins to go away. What doesn’t go away? The love that you have for that person. Isn’t it interesting that the most real thing we have is some thing that you can’t see? And isn’t it interesting that the most real thing that exists, God, is also something that you can’t see?

In this book Adam actually shows that love does not know death. You’ll find that love is even more powerful than most people think. And when it comes to the duality of love and fear, love is not only more powerful, it can cancel its seeming opposite completely. As both the Bible and the modern-day metaphysical masterpiece, A Course in Miracles (ACIM) say, “Perfect love casts our fear.”

According to ACIM, “There is no death, but there is a belief in death.” It also says, among many of its teachings on the subject, “Embodiment of fear, the host of sin, god of the guilty and the lord of all illusions and deceptions, does the thought of death seem mighty.”

As difficult as it may be to deal with such a firm hold that the idea of death has on humanity, I think Adam has done a wonderful job of dealing with the subject in this book. It’s a personal book. I was honored when Adam asked me to be interviewed for it. But Adam’s stories and observations are the highlights.

You’ll be glad you took the time to experience the wisdom from all those who contributed to these pages. This book will stay with you when many others have been forgotten. And you may even find that you believe what ACIM proclaims, “There is no death. The Son of God is free.”
