Now in a New Edition!
When billions of little stars find themselves split off from the Original Beautiful Light, they begin to feel guilty. They mistakenly believe they have destroyed that amazing light to gain their individuality. This sense of separation from their Source fosters fierce competition, with each star pitted against every other. Each star's individual goal is to replace the Original Beautiful Light, but feeble twinkling is all that their strenuous, exhausting efforts can produce.
The Parable of the Stars is a story of rediscovery, as the stars come to remember their true beauty and power within their Oneness as the single beautiful Light. With a new edit and color enhancements by Fearless Literary, the 2nd Edition of John Beavin's classic is available to charm and enlighten all readers everywhere...
"Little in size, but magnificent in message!"~ Alan Cohen, author of ACIM Made Easy
"A remarkably simple and clear statement of the basic principles of A Course in Miracles." ~ Jon Mundy PhD, author of Living A Course in Miracles
"Deep metaphor of ACIM — understandable by anyone from age 6 to 100 — a small gem you will want to share with those you love."~ Gary Renard, author of the world-renowned "Disappearance of the Universe" series
"Almost like I'd drop off my body in the AM, and reclaim it at quitting time," John Beavin recalls. The work required constant alertness, yet his higher mind felt totally free. Thrilled with discovering the ease of replacing depressing negative thoughts with joy-filled Truth, Beavin was eager to share. He certified in hypnotherapy, worked with clients, bcame a prolific songwriter, and auhored his first book, Sing Yourself a Miracle. John & Lainie Beavin hand-built Greenlight Sanctuaries stone by stone, where they have facilitated ACIM classes since 1989. They are grateful for the reviews from readers of the first edition of this book, and those who listened to the CD version, narrated by Lainie. Everyone loves a happy ending.
Reviewed in the United States on January 20, 2021Verified Purchasei never wrote a review before, but i stop to give this book a five star!, it is so powerful, my kids loved it!Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2010Verified PurchaseThis is a very short book that sends a friendly reminder to the mind. I like how the author is able to encapsulate the basic tenet from A Course in Miracles to remind us that despite appearances to the contrary, ideas never leave their source. The illustrations are light (pardon the pun) and simple, as is the book's message - timeless.Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2015"The Parable of the Stars" is a spiritual path in and of itself, and masters the balance of depth and simplicity. It is an imaginative, timeless tale, yet is somehow outside of time completely. I used it as a way to introduce my children to the principles of "A Course in Miracles." They got it the first time through. Adults may require multiple reads...LOL, but it will not feel like work to do it. Quite the opposite actually!Join the "Friends Who Like Parable of the Stars" on Facebook
