I purchased Ray Wells’ book as soon as I heard about it since I am always interested in anything that will fill in the gaps in my own understanding and assist me with my personal journey. The author obviously knows the ins and outs of the Course extremely well, and has recognized and resolved most of the sticking points that have stopped beginning students on their first work-through of the Course. It has solved many of the remaining riddles in my mind as well. As an excellent companion work for helping with A Course in Miracles, I strongly recommend “A Course in Miracles, CLARIFIED.” - Ron G

This book is like a cry in the wilderness. It finally answers the question so many of us ask: Why does God let awful things happen in this world? It gives me the incentive to read A COURSE IN MIRACLES with new eyes of understanding of what the book is actually saying.

RAYMOND WELLS has been a student of A Course in Miracles since 1985 and a teacher since 2014. He currently facilitates a study group in Cumberland, Maryland where he lives with Marjie, his wife of 54 years. He holds a BSEE and worked as a technical writer, editor, technical trainer, product manager, and applications engineering manager during his career. He investigated many sources of spiritual wisdom before focusing on ACIM as his primary guide.

The purpose of this book is to clarify the content of the Course so you will have minimal difficulty in understanding what it is saying. This will make the Course a fun read, rather than a frustrating struggle for understanding. If ACIM seems difficult to grasp, it is because you are resisting the higher reality it presents to you. And thus the struggle is really to overcome the lifelong brainwashing that has convinced you of the unreal world that you habitually see.

Admittedly, there is much disagreement and argument amongst students of the Course about the interpretation of various statements and assertions. But I’ve put this book together to make it clear there is no need for argument. Every principle of the Course is explained repeatedly with the same meaning throughout the Course, and I have yet to find any contradictions in it. I have searched through the Course to show how the major ideas recur, and I back up everything I’ve identified as the Course’s position on a particular topic.

Overall, I have included enough information to enable you to understand that you are never a victim — and it is entirely within your power to eliminate suffering from your life....

It’s important to understand that your current upside-down view of the world is so different from the perspective of ACIM that you may find it necessary to read the Course more than once in order to completely understand it. If you recognize the Course as your spiritual path, it is like getting married — it’s usually for life!
