Before founding Fearless Books in 1997 to continue the publication of his writing, D. Patrick Miller sold three solo projects to major publishers: Viking, Henry Holt, and Dell. As a collaborator, ghostwriter, or principal editor, Miller has helped other authors prepare manuscripts for such publishers as Viking, Doubleday, Warner, Simon & Schuster, Jeremy P. Tarcher, and John Wiley & Sons. He has published over 75 articles in a wide variety of magazines, including Yoga Journal, Self, Natural Health, Healthy Living, Reader’s Digest, Utne Reader, The Sun, Intuition, and more. His poetry has been published in a number of magazines and several anthologies, including Cosmo Doogood’s Urban Almanac 2006 (published by Eric Utne) and Blue Peninsula (Farrar Straus Giroux, May 2006). He has been publishing articles and e-books via this website since 1998, featuring issues in contemporary spirituality and promoting the work of other independent authors, publishers, and artists.
A top-ranked volunteer expert on publishing at AllExperts.com, Miller provides professional consultations to literary agents and publishers as well as published and unpublished authors working in fiction and nonfiction. He is a member of the Authors Guild, American Society of Journalists and Authors, and Publishers Marketing Association. An experienced graphic designer and typographer, Miller is also a semi-professional photographer with several publication credits.
